Carried through autumn – Why baby slings are particularly beneficial right now
There are seasons when everything moves a little closer together. Autumn is exactly such a time. When the air is moist and cool in the morning, when the wind begins to undress the trees, and the light gently caresses the fields – that’s when babywearing changes too. Not just outside, but also within us.

I remember one of those typical autumn mornings. Outside, fog still lay on the meadows, everything was muted, almost silent. I had my favorite scarf on, a steaming thermos of tea in hand – and my baby on my chest, wrapped in a soft baby carrier made of wool and linen.

The little body completely relaxed, the breath calm. As I walked step by step through the rustling leaves, I felt how my own breathing adapted to the rhythm. Slower. Deeper. More carried.

What’s so special about the baby wrap shows itself especially now. You don’t have to do much – you are simply there. You hold. You walk. You breathe. And your child feels all of this.
Sometimes I wonder how often we lose such quality of closeness in everyday life, although it could actually be so simple: a walk in the park, the scent of damp earth, a wrap that holds everything together.
In autumn, exactly this is possible. The world out there slows down – and we may go along. Or stand still. Or rock ourselves in movement, with the wrap as the supporting center.
Inviting, not rushing
Perhaps you feel it yourself right now: Autumn has its own language. It doesn’t say “come on, keep going!”, but rather: “Come, stay a while.” The baby wrap speaks the same language.
It doesn’t push. It holds. It gives space for you and your child to experience together what makes this time so special.
